Today is a great day on the HLS campus. It is Registration Day and the beginning of Orientation for the 1L Class! Each fall, HLS has an amazing group of students arrive to begin their legal studies, and I couldn’t be more excited about the group that starts today.
The HLS Class of 2015 comes from all over the world and the United States and speaks over 50 languages. These students have already accomplished incredible things, for example: students have served in the military, AmeriCorps, the Peace Corps, and worked at top tier legal and financial firms; others have interned in Congress; and more than two dozen have worked with Teach for America. The class includes entrepreneurs, comedians, dancers, coaches and marathon runners.
The next few weeks for this new class will be busy. They will get acquainted with all that HLS has to offer, meet their 1L section faculty leaders, explore Cambridge and Boston and start forging new friendships. It was a pleasure getting to know this group during the last admissions cycle and I am excited to hear about the incredible things they will do with their time at HLS.
