Prof. Porter is looking for a research assistant to do about five hours of reference-checking over the Thanksgiving weekend. This pays the usual RA rate of $11.50/hour. Much of the work can be done on your own, but you will need to be in town to pick up some books.

Energy Conservation Checklist
If you will be leaving campus for the Thanksgiving holiday, please take a few minutes before your departure to ensure that your room won’t be using energy unnecessarily during your absence.
HEATING:
Make sure windows and storm windows (if present) are tightly closed
Pull your curtains shut / lower your blinds for an extra layer of insulation.
Check that vents are unobstructed by books, clothing, furniture, etc
ENERGY:
Turn off electronics and shut off power strips
Unplug appliances not in power strips
LIGHTING:
Turn off all lights.
WATER:
Make sure all faucets are tightly turned off. Contact Facilities at 617.495.5521 to report a drip.
