“Monty” on the Comics Industry

In Wednesday’s Monty, Moondog teachs Mr. Pi about humor and the lack thereof in daily comics:

Just because something is associated with humor doesn’t mean it’s funny…

Comics
are a sad backwater of the entertainment business produced by suckers
who crank out gags 365 days a year, no vacations, no medical
benefits… no pension plans…
