School

My daughter just finished week 2 of pre-school day care and loves it.

I had worried it might not be a good situation. It is a brand new center, and there were many unknowns. When I signed up, the teachers had not yet been hired and the building was under construction. But the risk seems to have been fortuitous. The finished building is gorgeous and the teachers seem delightful.

This change is a big one for my daughter. She went from a small closely knit group at family day care, to a much larger group, with scheduled activites, and a real curriculum.

But she seems to be thriving. On Saturday morning she was quite upset that she would not go to ’school’ that day. I felt like her second choice.
