What with the sox losing twice this week, I was feeling unlucky and unwilling to take a chance… so I didn’t ride the bike today or yesterday. The weather people had been talking about ‘50% chance of rain’, ’steady drizzle’, ‘afternoon shower’, etc. So I wimped out and took the car both days. But with our excellent raingear my daughter and I probably could have done the trip just fine. And now I’m sitting here at work feeling like a lump on a log because I didn’t get my endorphins going this morning.
I’m really wondering if I should ever take the car anymore.
There will be those inevitably bitterly cold winter days, but those are months and months away, right?
…right?

Mom (aka Meme) has recently persuaded me to take a daily walk around my neighborhood before launching into my otherwise sedentary day. I have to thank her for the prodding, because my morning encounters with mist, drizzle, sunshine, neighbors’ back yards, alleys, gravel, and the Stony Run stream are now often the best part of my day. This is my equivalent to your bike commute. Wish I could have you and Rada along with me on my strolls.
