Notes:
- At the end of the table where j sat, the conversation shifted from Frassle, to politics, to how blogs handle Chinese characters to Sudan to Kofi Annan’s Commencement address at Harvard, to Thomas P. M. Barnett.
- After we finished eating, Dave asked us to go around the table to say what we’ve gotten out of blog group. Only a few people spoke.
- JM: realized the importance of blogs with his Second Superpower piece
- gots lots of hits
- word about it spread further and faster than if he had used traditional scholarly publishing routes
- A few people brought gifts for Dave
- LW gave Dave a folder full of bumper stickers
- DW shared a few of them with us
- There was a peace sign
- a no whining symbol

- (I’ve forgotten some of the funnier ones)
