We will not meet at Berkman this Thursday, March 30. Please join us on April 6 when Andy Carvin will tell us about his new book, From the Ground Up.

Upcoming blog meeting stuff in the works:

  • Andy Carvin, bandwidth waster, international traveler, blogger, sharer of fabulous tails and tales, who does really important things, has a new book coming out. He plans tell us about it on April 6. The book is available as a pdf or for free from this link.

  • April 20: Hopefully, Amanda can round up some people from the Webmasters conference in Boston. (Thanks, Amanda!)
  • Dan Bricklin, known for his work on VisiCalc and wikiCalc
  • Ookles, perhaps — if their Boston road show works with a Thursday meeting
  • Someone who can fill us in on what’s happening with China and the Internet (RMack? Eric Priest?)
  • WordPress demos
  • If you want to help shepherd a potential future topic or if you have ideas of your own, please talk to Erica or j. We’d love - and could really use - your help!

      • Although we realize that for some people, knowing the restaurant location before the Meetup is very helpful, we decided not to choose one this week because choosing them beforehand is proving to be much more problematic than we thought it would be. We will be at the Berkman Center until at least 8 pm, if not 8:30 pm. We will try to remember to post the restaurant location on the blog when we decide where to go.
    • Last time: Changsho

  • Erica does plan to try a live webcast again this week, with Berkman’s even brand newer setup than the previous time. The new link will be: http://harmony.law.harvard.edu/webcast.sdp.

  • SORRY for the lack of webcast; Erica’s laptop died and there was a mic problem. This also accounts for lack of live notes. The meeting however was pretty fab with some great folks and excellent conversation.
  • IRC chat
