Swans Style Page

I love vintage coats, but because of my freakishly long arms, the sleeves are always a couple inches too short, bearing my delicate wrists to the cold air. My solution? Arm warmers. I knit myself a pair last fall:

A few days ago I see this in the New York Times style section. Oh, I am so ahead of the times. In the past, girls had to make their own, or cut holes in socks. Now there are so many materials and styles to choose from: wool, cotton, leather, cashmere, vinyl. Is it wrong to think of myself as a fashion trendsetter?

Some designers try to get around the “arm warmer” moniker. Marc Jacobs version. Don’t give me this “fingerless glove” crap, those are arm warmers.

So, if anyone wants some super-trendy, warm, and very cute arm warmers, send me $25 and you’ll get a pair knit to order.*

Psst… Marc, call me. Send me a couple jackets from your fall line and we’ll pretend this never happened.

*additional charge for cashmere.

I love your arm warmers! Did you make up your own pattern for them, or can you point me to one? Thank you!!!
