Director-General, Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (AITI-KACE)
Dorothy K. Gordon is the Director-General, Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (AITI-KACE), based in Accra, which specializes in ICT training, consulting, research and advocacy for Africa. She is deeply committed to growing Africa’s technology capability to innovate and manage solutions to address the continent’s needs.
She is recognized for her expertise in ICT for Development(ICT4D). Her current interests centre around innovation ecosystems, digital content creation,intellectual property regimes, mobile apps development, open source technologies as well as women and ICT.
Prior to working for AITI-KACE she worked for the United Nations and headed up her own management consulting company. She sits on a number of national and international boards and also spearheads a number of global initiatives in Ghana. These include UNESCO-IICBA, World Summit Awards, Mobile Monday, Ipv6, and FOSSFA – the Free Software and Open Source Foundation for Africa. She is a Ghanaian and a Pan-Africanist. Fluent in English and French, she has lived and worked in over 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
