This panel shows one of captain marvel’s lesser-known but surprisingly handy powers: separation of binary mixtures into their underlying component substances. In this case, “rock” and “shoe”.
Those townspeople must’ve been PISSED to’ve whipped up such an insidious mixture! Me, when I’m in an enraged crowd, I usually just chuck either a shoe or a rock. Whichever’s handier.
