Wesley Clark for VP?

That’s what Hootsbuddy hints.

I thought that Clark was a good candidate four years ago, but he didn’t click. But now… ? Maybe.

  1. Since I posted that I came across a specific on point criticism that seems right: Clark is clean as a pin on paper but not politically adroit on his feet. The clip illustrated that, although it’s not easy for us Obama fans to discern.

I’m waiting to see if Brian Schweitzer, governor of Montana gets noticed. I came across his name a couple of weeks ago via FiveThirty-Eight.com.

  3. I think you might be right, John.

One sort-of insider I know says that Ohio senator Sherrod Brown is an appealing VP candidate.

  4. My long time favorite has always been Wesley Clark, He is the only way I could ever Imagine voting for Obama. He gets working class voters, He shores up obamas weaknesses, He is a long time Hilary Supporter (unlike Webb) He will help Obama in many key states (PA NC VA WV) a few more. Oddley enough I dont know if you guys follow the Intrade markets or not but the last Couple of days Heavy money has been pileing up On Clark as the VP pick. I think maybe someone on the inside of Obamas Camp may be using privliged info to make a quick buck. I watch intrade prediction markets close and Wes Clark has went up almost 4 points on no major news being put out. while all other candidates slip. He has thousands of orders in for Clark shares. I think this is a good indication of some inside info. I think Clark will be our man. The is also an article about Clark being the best pick for VP at http://www.TheObamaPlan.com

Yes, for General Wesley Clark. He could easily drop right into the leadership of presidency at any point. That’s what a vice-president is for. Clark has great knowledge on many fronts. And also, which is primary: John McCain has only one issue, Safety. If General Clark is put in as VP, this will totally deflate the McCain balloon. So what does John McCain really know about foreign affairs? Next to nothing. McCain said the Iraq War would be short. And 6 years later, where are we? Clark is the man. He is a natural.

  6. Wesley Clark is an excellent choice for VP. He has honed his “on his feet” political skills greatly since his run for president, and comparative to John McCain his skills are far more exceptional. He brings the perfect balance of military experience, leadership and judgement to pair with Obama’s. These two are very likeable personalities who would clearly have an incredible advantage over McCain and whoever he picks (likely a conservative Repub) and cement a distinct victory.

  7. I respect General Wesley Clark’s service in the millatary, but when he attacks John McCain in the matter that he did, it just shows how he puts his politics “DEMOCRAT party”before his country just for political gain!Is this the same MORON GENERAL who had our fighter jets bomb the Chinese embassy?Listen im a conservative and im no John mccain fan but when you make stupid comments like Wesley Clark did, all its going to do is just backfire in his and the democrats faces as well.Oh by the way, McCain stayed in Vietnam over 5 years,he could had been back sooner but he didnt sign any papers over to the enemy and with that he had is arms broken ribs broke and was tortured every day!And im not talking about waterboarding like you liberals think its soooo harsh.I give Wesely 2 seconds being captured and this PUNK would be crying for his MOMMA!!!!! 8. Well, Clark clearly has a tin political ear, and disqualified himself from VP consideration yesterday with dumb remarks at a dumb time.

  9. I agree. Clark messed up yesterday with his remark. Curious: Who do you think will be Obama’s running mate? John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Jim Webb, or maybe even Al Gore?

Interested in what others think. I

  10. Of those four, Jim Webb. Edwards is too lefty and has no constituency. Hillary is a step back over a burned bridge. Gore has been there, done that, and can’t be interested.

I think he’ll choose none of the above, actually.

FWIW, http://myguesstimate requires registration. Too big a hurdle. Sorry.
