As a Free Range Customer, I’m following Uncle Dave’s lead and starting up at Identi.ca. Follow me there as dsearls, same as my Twitter handle. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m glad to see the ball rolling. I’m still interested in solving the core problem of scaling of a tweeting system. I think that a pair of machines (for reliability) should be able to handle all of the core messaging for Twitter or any subsequent clones.
Do you think anyone would use such a system if it were developed?

The big #VWgate whodunit mystery is who actually did it? If it wasn't top brass, who was it? Bring them out. They'll be flushed anyway.
Just added my latest @VRM post j.mp/movpast to the #Adblock War Series j.mp/awars with other updates as well.
@Herne Agreed. Even without capped usage, upstream speeds of 5-35MBps won't cut it for first upload or heavy interactive use.
@jimfenton Yep, that's the issue, and it's a big one that more bigness from big companies won't solve.
