The new PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge was aired on TV on this Sunday. This program is considered the highest-rated poker program of 2009. We were able to see many interesting scenes during the whole Sunday. The first scene begun when Luna played against Jayde Nicole who is a very famous celebrity specially because he does a TV show The Hills. Jayde was successful in winning a ticket for the trip to the Bahamas and finally flew away.
After giving tough time to Jayde, Luna headed for the next round which was even more interesting as she had to face the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Chris Moneymaker. There is no doubt that Chris is the best poker player in both US and Europe and defeating him is not at all an easy task or you can call it Impossible. But things didn’t turn out very well in the favor of Chris. Chris tried to applied his every method to win the game but was all in vain in front of the tricky Luna. Then came the real test of Luna when John Trapp decided to try his luck by placing $100,000. Seeing this, Luna decided to leave the table with $25,000 as to pay the debts and take care of the children. Other big players which participated in this poker challenge included six time pro bowler and NFL champion Jerome Bettis. Jerome being famous for his one awesome quality was still unable to beat the Nguyen.
It is expected that a lot more people will be joining this poker challenge next year and try their luck or win with the skills. Obviously every challenge or a tournament always contains good poker players but that doesn’t mean that people stop participating in the tournament.
