In July, 2009 Russia started a campaign in which it started to shut down different casinos and gambling points. This act of Russia was to improve its social environment but none of the Russian government officials thought that many people will become jobless and they might also lose their families they won’t be able to afford the monthly payments. As we all know that Russia is already facing economy problems from last few years and this step is surely not going to improve their economy conditions. Russian government has decided to pay the people who lost their jobs after shutting down of casinos on monthly basis. Nearly 1500 casinos were shutdown in just few days.

Although thee banning of Casinos made a little effect on the efforts of Russian Government because those casino owners are now moving underground and they games are still going on. However, Russia is no doubt going to lose a lot of money which it used to earn from different world poker tours like World Poker Tour. On the other hand United States is also trying its best to completely eliminate online gambling as many risks are involved in it. More than 400,000 workers are looking for job in Russia just because they were kicked out of the casinos. Russia is already facing economy difficulties and they have to take some serious action on this matter as their act of banning the casinos was not a good idea.

It is very much possible that many of the workers will move to US and other countries for more casino jobs and the casino players will also migrate to other countries to participate in different events but not all of them can move. US can obviously afford to ban the online gambling as it is getting most of its income from the casinos established at different places in the country. USA’s main source of gambling income is the city or town casinos and not the online gambling websites. Discussions are still going on that what will be the next step of Mother Russia but concluding something about them will surely be not a good idea. Hope these two nations look into the matter and solve their problems so the workers can get their jobs back.

The poker dealer Edmund Osei took more than $60,000 from different casinos and deposited that big amount into his bank account. It was not at all an easy task to arrest Edmund Osei. Many different law enforcement agencies were involved in the plan to arrest him in Ghana. The law enforcement agencies mainly included New Scotland Yard in Britain, Ghanaian authorities and the FBI in Newark.

Weysan Dun said that there is simply no better example than this one in which all the different law enforcement agencies worked together to arrest Mr. Osei. The agencies made the way of Mr. Osei narrower and narrower till he couldn’t escape. This is not the first arrest of Osei. He was also once arrested in 1999 when he pointed a toy gun at the cashier and asked her to give the money or die. The cashier showed some cleverness and turned on the alarm system. Osei was taken down by 3 security guards at the spot. Later he robbed 5 more different places which also included a commerce bank.

After robbing the commerce bank, Osei went for the Taj Mahal and finally disappeared in the big crowd. Even after posting a bail, he was unable to present himself in the court and a warrant was issued for his immediate arrest. FBI was able to arrest such a big robber who lived a free life for 10 years but finally he got what he deserved. The New Attorney General Anne Milgram said that a robber who robs different places can never escape from the law and one day he has to go to the jail.

Many people appreciated the hard work of different agencies. Their cooperation was so good that every agency was receiving the updates on every moment. This great communication helped them to track down the identity of Osei and finally they arrested him. Osei was one of the biggest poker dealers and eventually he turned into a robber and committed big crimes just for the sake of money. All the agencies were very happy because finally their 10 hours hard work turned fruitful and the achieved what they were looking for.

Bob Chimento was literally jumping in his house when he got the news they he has won the appeal. These poker players waited for 3 and a half years for their appeal and finally the case went in their favor.  The neighbors of Chimento reported that his screaming with happiness could be heard three blocks away. It is the day of Bob Chimento as now he is free to play anywhere.

Bob Chimento was one of the five players who were arrested for participating in an illegal house of gaming. Bob Chimento also said to the newspapers that poker is now in 21sts century as the best players have arrived. The Judge Markley Dennis said that these men are free to go as the poker is considered the game of skill and not the game of chance. He also said that the person who thinks it is a game of chance can never win even a single game of it with these five players. The court freed all the five men and said there are no restrictions on them anymore; they can play the Texas hold’em poker too.

These South Carolina pokers said that they are going to take part in each of the poker tournaments going to be held in South Carolina and the whole Texas. OF the total 20 players arrested during the game back in 2006, many were found guilty for what they did and were fined $154 to $257. Although that fine is very less but still the fine was maximum according to the law standards of Texas. The remaining five players were the ones we are talking about including Chimento who refused to admit that they did something wrong and their stand of that day gave them the fruit today. However, these five poker players are still waiting for the hearings to finish and they will celebrate their victory. The act of the judge by saying that poker is the game of skills made him the hero of Texas as all the poker players are now with him. While in the court the judge also said that Texas hold’ em is not gaming nor gambling. It is completely legal. Still the case is on going but the major part of it has been solved and Chimento and his other players are celebrating their victory for which they have been waiting for years.

America is already getting loaded with casinos these days. Obama is also supporting the making of casinos in these difficult recession times. George W Bush also took some steps to promote casinos. He made some laws for the Indian tribes that they can only open casinos if they are in the communication distance from the tribe’s reservation. However, to promote the casinos this obligation was removed by Obama and the Indian tribes are also free to have as many casinos they want anywhere.

It is said that this promotion of casinos in America can really help America recover its economy as casinos are considered the major source of income for every country. Arnold Schwarzenegger also appealed to the court for making the online poker gambling legal. The governor is really concerned about the gambling laws and wants to omit all the laws to promote the making of casinos all over the California and USA. Some of the tribes are also complaining on the change as their competitors or other tribes are now allowed to build casinos farther away from the reservations.

America is breaking the history of having casinos. This country is really recovering fast by just making some changes to its law. The appeal of the governor of California for legalizing the online poker gambling was taken into special consideration and it is said that some changes might occur in the law in the next hearing.

Some of the lawmakers favored the Indian tribal casinos and wanted the law to be changed in any case. Many governors of different stats supported the lawmakers. Existing casino owners are really worried about their business as they are saying that the market is getting saturated day by day and they might have to close their business. So most of the existing casino owners are trying to oppose the law but the country really wants to promote the building of more and more casinos. Many of the laws have been implemented and people are given special loans from the states to make casinos. The market of casinos can never become saturated as there are millions of players who want to go to casinos so America is in need of thousands of casinos to meet the need of people. The law of America is now taking serious action in this matter and it is said that America will be able to recover its economy with the help of casinos in just few years.

Texas announced a new law for the drivers. Although the law contains many provisions but the most important from them is that Department of Public Safety (DPS) must collect that how many teenage drivers get accidents in the first year after finishing their driver’s education course. Soon the statistics will be published and the parents will be able to enroll their children in the driver program with lowest accident rates. Driving schools with high collision rates will go out of business automatically.

Another stats report which was published in 2007 showed that teens taught to drive by their parents were more likely to get into accidents than the ones taught in different driver programs. Owners of driving schools are asking different questions about the stats which will be recorded by DPS about the car crashes or accidents.

“I don’t see any reason it should be a bad thing if it’s reported correctly, because that would ensure competition”. This sentence was said by Phillip Oller who is the manager of Pearland driving School. Many other owners of driving schools said that what is the guarantee that the stats recorded by DPS will be 100% correct? The first report of the stats is going to get published in 2011 by DPS.

More laws were implemented by Texas at the same time. Some of them are listed below:

Everyone in the vehicle, sitting at the front or back must wear the seat belt. Children under 8 who are not 4 feet 9 inches tall must be in child-safety seats.

Motorcyclists are not allowed to carry more than 5 people on the bike.

Drivers who are under 18 years old cannot use cell phones while driving.

Wireless devices which are not hands-free are not allowed while driving.

DPS will take a road test of children under 18 before they can get the license.

Teenage drivers cannot drive from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 am from one year of licensure and they are not permitted to have more than one passenger in their car who is less than 21.

All the laws listed above are mainly for the teenage drivers. Public opinion suggests that the actions taken by DPS are going to be a success just like the “No Child Left Behind”. DPS also prefers Driving Schools for teenagers instead of learning from their parents. Almost all the driving schools in Texas are opposing it as they say they are not responsible for the rash driving of teenagers. They can just teach them and give them information about traffic laws. However, discussions are still going on.
