California Delays HS Exit Exam
Bowing to pressure from school officials and students who would be denied diplomas, California yesterday delayed for two years implementation of the exit exam graduation requirement. Will other states follow suit?
“It needs to be an outright cancellation of the diploma penalty or a much longer moratorium to take care of racial and class inequities that are deeply embedded in the system.”
