Women Untouchable with Electro-Armor

Shocking New
Jacket Hits Street

A new anti-assault device for women wards off potential assailants
with an 80,000-volt electric shock.

Dubbed "exo-electric armor," the No-Contact
Jacket looks like an ordinary fashionable women’s coat. But an inner
layer of conductive fiber carries a low-amp
charge that delivers a nasty but non-lethal shock to anyone who messes with its
wearer.

"It’s kind of like sticking your finger in a wall socket," said
Adam Whiton, an industrial designer at MIT and one of the jacket’s inventors.

Chilean politicians are campaigning to close around 100 coffee
bars where waitresses wear bikinis.

Santiago congresswoman Maria Antonieta

Funny British take on Arnold’s chances in California:

“Okay, Arnold’s not a Nazi. He was born in the Austrian town of Thal, but not until 1947, and thus was technically unable to join the Nazi Party no matter how much he may have wanted to. But he certainly has family ties to the Nazis. His wife’s grandfather, Joe Kennedy, was one of America’s most prominent Nazi sympathisers.

Oh, wait. That’s not the Nazi family ties the Dems had in mind?”

Rare Triple Play in MLB

ø

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Atlanta Braves shortstop Rafael Furcal
turned the 12th unassisted triple play in major league history Sunday
night against the St. Louis Cardinals .

With runners on first and second in the fifth inning, Furcal made a leaping
grab of pitcher Woody Williams ‘ liner. The runners were going on a 1-1
pitch, and Furcal stepped on second base to double up Mike Matheny before
tagging out Orlando Palmeiro as he made a futile attempt to scamper back
to first.
