These guys are probably goosestepping all
the way to the bank, judging by the press they are getting. Alert reader
Dennis Moser, following up on a challenge in my
previous post on the topic, has uncoverred the on-line ordering information for this delectable
vintage.
He reports that once he had the name of the vinyard (Alessandro
Lunardelli) the rest was easy. Watch your mailbox closely, Dennis, your
authentic Nazi hand grenade trophy (hopefully disarmed) should be arriving
any day.
So for all of you closet Nazis, SS wannabes and just plain
neo-fascist wine aficionados who can’t wait to get your hands on a bottle
of this stuff, here are the crucial links:

Available in Red only. Personally, I’ll stick to
my Boone’s Farm.

Well, while Michael has graciously given me credit for the little search I ran, the important bit of information was not the vineyard (Alessandro Lunardelli, which one could get from any ofhte many articles that have been posted about this wine), but rather the region of the vineyard (Friuli Venezia Giulia), which was a little more difficult to locate.
A couple of wine ‘zines ran the story and provided a little more information and one of them mentioned the region…from there it was just another Google search. Somedays it pays to be a librarian…8-)
Thanks for the fun challenge on a quiet Monday afternoon!

Interesting marketing strategy. Must be a pretty small market.
What’s the link to this winery?
