What can you say about a guy who hasn’t had a good bath
for about, oh, 500 years? OK, maybe you wouldn’t want to sit next to
him on the Alitalia flight from Rome to New York, but with that body-by-Michelangelo,
the guy deserves a chance to shine. The question is – What kind of soap
does a 500-year-old stoner use?

An article
in the Boston Globe explores a growing polemic about the
techniques to be used in cleaning David up. A Colombia professor has
been accused of "going too far with this anti-restoration terrorism." It
seems any objectionable behavior can now be so labeled.
