A three-day, no-holds-barred sex and drug orgy involving
268 male Japanese businessmen and over 500 local prostitutes at 530-room
Zhuhai International Conference Center Hotel on Lover’s Road, a boulevard
overlooking Zhuhai Bay in a resort city in southern China, has
shocked the public around Asia and strained relations between the two
governments.
The alchohol and drug-fueled orgy spilled out of the guest rooms and
suites into the lounges, function rooms and hallways. Reports abound that
Viagra and Rhinoceros Horn snuff were distributed by the hotel in silver
platters.
Adding insult to injury, the incident ended Sept. 18, the date China marks as the beginning of
Japan’s occupation of Manchuria in 1931. It is a day as evocative of
history as Pearl Harbor Day is in the United States.
