Check out my new specialized aggregator, just for the blogs of the regular atttendees of the Berkman Thusday Night Blog Writers Crew. The list is NOT complete, and will be added to, so bookmark it if you are interested.

The impetus for this second aggregator (my main aggregator can be seen at All My News Streams) is that the Manila aggregator can only hold a limited number of items. I have now subscribed to so many streams that if I don’t check it every 3 or 4 hours, it overflows and I start losing older items out the bottom.

By creating specialized aggregators with a limited number of feeds, the items will remain on ice longer, and be there when I want to read them. My next de-aggravator is going to be subscribed only to the New York Times feeds I read, so hopefully it will cache at least a whole day’s articles for perusal at my convenience. Watch for it later tonight in my Hot Links area, below the DB logo.

These are Our Allies? Teddy Bears Banned in Saudi Arabia

Saudi
Arabia has banned the importation of female dolls and teddy bears, giving
merchants three months to dispose of such stock, a state-guided
newspaper reported Wednesday.

Interior Minister Prince Nayef ordered the ban which was relayed around
the country by the national Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Al-Riyadh
said

The ban singled out stuffed-animal toys and dolls of brides. It made
no mention of male dolls and it was not clear if these were banned as
well.

Orgasmatron Implants to Cost $17,000

Women
face a whopping bill if they want to have a remote controlled
instant orgasm device implanted. Orgasmatron Inventor Dr Stuart Meloy says
he is confident women will fork out $17,000 for the procedure and device
as millions of people spend fortunes
on cosmetic surgery.

The North Carolina hospital doctor’s device, which he has already patented
and is trying to trademark under the name Orgasmatron, is a tiny spinal
cord stimulator. A hand-held remote control turns the device on and off.
It is not unlike a pacemaker in size and function and would be permanently
embedded in their lower backs.

He accidentally discovered the Orgasmatron while performing a routine pain-relief
procedure. The female patient began moaning in pleasure as he directed
electrical pulses into her spine.

Miss Venezuela Kidnapped for Nude Photographs

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — After kidnapping and robbing Venezuelan model
Veruska Ramirez, thieves asked the former Miss Universe finalist to
sign her latest calendar as a memento, the model’s manager said Thursday.

Ramirez, a former Miss Venezuela, was robbed of a large quantity of foreign
currency and personal belongings and then kidnapped from her car for roughly
three hours in the central city of Valencia last week, Luigi Ratino told
the Associated Press.

The thieves saw a box in her car containing 15 calendars containing nude
pictures of Ramirez. They asked her to autograph the calendars and made
off with them, leaving her on a city street, said Ratino.

The brunette, who won the Miss Venezuela title in 1997 and was a finalist
in the Miss Universe pageant the following year, was not mistreated by
the thieves, Ratino added.
