Violence occurs when an individual or body attempts to impose an agenda upon another individual or body, and effects this imposition through exercise of a superior capacity to destroy or incapacitate the victim individual or body: In this sense violence is ‘cretin’ because it is an empathetic vacuum, because it elevates a valuation of profitability (where profit can be considered to be any desirable outcome state) above a valuation of humanity. This devaluation of humanity does not occur in a sporting ring; combatants are not killed, they are not forced to compete; as a K-1 kickboxer Mighty Mo’s dedicated himself to seeking out these competitions; these are people with lifetimes of practice and training in sports with traditionally established codes of conduct, honour (regardless of how difficult you Bloom’s think honour is to stomach), and tradition. These people do not deserve to be dismissed as cretinous; dismissing the object of their dedication and lumping their sport into one category with lamentable real-world violence is unreasonable, and comes from a position of lamentable elitism.
