Since Carpundit deleted my comments from his own board on the linkback to this post, just wanted to say I really appreciate his sentiments. Nothing like seeing people beat each other to a pulp over a cold beer to bring a smile to ones face, no matter their political persuasion. I am sure all of us agree that a little needless bloodshed always makes it a nicer day. Not sure why you erased my post Carpundit, simply was trying to agree and thank you for comment — sounds like we would get along well. Perhaps we can meet some time and beat up some Anarchists together as well as any other minorities we might find. I’ll bring the beer, a special brew from Bavaria. Mr. Dowbrigade, you need to explain to your Mom the selfess sacrifice we are making by placing the Motherland above all else. That is the only way we can succeed on our mission.

Thanks for turning out Dowbrigade and no less for giving your son a proper education. Wish we could have gotten more people from our side there but ever since the Argentine crisis our budget isn’t what it used to be. Your efforts though did help to turn out the crowd and postings such as this to promote our cause. Lets just say your efforts are not going unnoticed or unappreciated.

Hey, Cambridge Anarchist: Anarchists Bad; Nazis Worse. No question about it. That said, I’d like to pop open a cold beer, sit down on a nearby roof deck, and watch the lot of you beat each other to a pulp.

..you are being “played”. The way this guy wrote his article, he was clearly trying to make the anarchists seem worse than or as bad as the nazis, when they are really just ordinary working class people, and looking at the photos, it seems that all his insulting remarks are a load of crap.

Anarchists are not like these guys. They dont meed police protection to keep them from getting their asses kicked.. because they don’t do things that piss off ordinary people.

Who has commited the big terrorist acts of the last 10 years? The Olympics Bombing, the Anthrax Mailings? The Oklahoma City Bombing? Heaven’s Gate and David Koresh cults? All crazy fundamentalist Christians. Not anarchists.

I think it’s fair to say that the anarchists are the good guys here… the nazis? Those are just the nazis who don’t hide who they are. We don’t get to see the nazis in the workplace or in the government.

Thanks for the excellent reportage here. I’d heard about their coming (and apparently some Neo-Nazi group was supposed to visit a school in Somerville as well). Manifestations like this where I don’t know who’s going to be worse – the anarchists or the nazis – give me the willies, so I just stayed away.

With regards to Sunset, by the way – it’s gone downhill. Why not give either Portugalia or Casa Portugal a try.
