Public Showing of Blogging Documentary

1

Tuesday, August 2 — 7pm: The Berkman Center for Internet & Society will host a public screening of “Blogumentary,” an independentdocumentary directed by Chuck Olsen about blogs and their influence.

Blogumentary is 70 minutes long and will begin showing at 7pm in Pound Hall, room #102 on Harvard Law School’s campus. Olsen will introduce the screening and will answer questions afterward.

About Blogumentary from Chuck Olsen: “Blogumentary explores the many ways blogs are affecting our media and politics. Personal political writing is the foundation of our democracy, but mass media has made us into passive consumers instead of active citizens.

Blogs return us to our roots and reengage us in democracy.”

Anti-War Anarchists Gross Out Bay Area

1

other’s
Day Neo-Nazi demonstration at Government Center, we have come across some pretty impressive and
thought-provoking stories of their ceaseless struggle to pull the wool
off from over the eyes of the American public and bring down the rotten
system that
runs our lives.

However, few have provoked more thoughts than this
Anarchist Antiwar protest last week in Berkeley. Here are a few
choice photos and first-hand reporting from a Blog called zombietime.com.

If there’s anything better than revolutionary nudity,
it’s revolutionary transgendered nudity. Most of the participants were
readily identifiable as either male or female, but this bearded, breasted,
tattooed protester dared to challenge our outmoded gender labels.

Here’s more from the San Francisco Chronicle

A dozen anti-war activists from Mendocino County took
their tops off at high noon in San Francisco’s Union Square shopping
district Thursday, using what they said was their best weapon to get
the public’s attention.

Within seconds, a motorized cable car packed with tourists stopped in
front of Macy’s so the out-of-towners could get a better look.

"Whoa, get out your cameras and cover your children’s eyes," said
the driver.

"Remember, folks, this is San Francisco," he said. "We
let it all hang out here."

Members of the Breasts Not Bombs contingent, which included seven women,
three men and two young girls, said the war in Iraq is indecent, not
their nakedness.

"Boobies never hurt anyone," said Sherry Glaser, size 40DDD.

Whoa, we had just gotten over our fear of Anarchists,
and now we will have bad dreams for weeks featuring
old naked anarchists!!!
