Mysterious Lines

Deluxe
Town Diner (a bit overpriced for dinner, but a great place to ahve
lunch) in H20town, we came upon the strangest marking in front of the
Watertown Savings
Bank. They were yellowish outlines of human forms, splayed on the sidewalk,
as though spray-painted to mark the spots where bodies had fallen.

She looked at us like we had been stalking her for years,
"I have no idea," she said. She left unsaid "And if you don’t leave me
alone I will call the bank security guard standing right inside that
door" She didn’t have to.

We were so intimidated by her tone and insinuation
that we didn’t dare ask anyone else. Of course, had we been a "real"
journalist, we would have been honor bound to investigate further.  But
as a card-carrying member of the Pajamahaddin, a natural born blogger,
we naturally just went home to blog about it.

So, dear readers, at least a few of whom we know to
be H2Otown neighbors, does anyone know where these mysterious outlines
came from? Public art?
It’s mysteries
like this that drive us crazy….

(tangential note to regular readers: (yes, that is a
rare shot of the White Whale in the background of the last picture)

  1. I believe these were made in remembrance of the 60th anniversary of Hiroshima. Closer to Watertown Square I saw similar outlines along with a note referencing the event.
