Deep Six May Be Fake

ø

An
item in the Personality Parade in Parade Magazine, one of the last bastions
of true middle American pop sensibility, asks about the amazing Mr.
Six
,
the acrobatic, enervated oldster from the Six Flags Amusement Park ads.
Six Flags, originally another Texas outfit, seems determined to become
"America’s Amusement Park."

According to Six
Flags
, the old guy, who prefers to
remain anonymous, is over 80.  According to advertising industry
rumors (according to Parade Magazine) the old guy is quite a bit younger,
and may not even be a guy.

Considering most baby boomers are starting to look a
lot like Mr. Six, it may be a brilliant strategy.

However, according to Parade, "So far,his ads – part
of a $72 million campaign – haven’t boosted attendance."

Yeah, but wait for next year. We predict Mr. Six will
be back – flogging Vitamins and Viagra…
