DPLA participates in 2013 American Council of Learned Societies Public Fellows Program

The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) is pleased to announce a fellowship opportunity through the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS).  The ACLS invites applications for the third competition of the Public Fellows Program.  The program will place 20 recent Ph.D.s from the humanities and humanistic social sciences in two-year staff positions at partnering organizations in government and the nonprofit sector.  Fellows will participate in the substantive work of these organizations and receive professional mentoring.  Compensation will be competitive and will include health benefits.

The DPLA is honored to serve as one of the 20 participating organizations. We encourage you to circulate the opportunity below with interested participants.

The application deadline is March 27, 2013 (6pm EDT). All applications must be submitted through the ACLS Online Fellowship Application System, available at ofa.acls.org.

The Public Fellows Program is a fellowship program offered by the American Council of Learned Societies with generous funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.  For more information about the Public Fellows Program, including detailed application instructions, please visit  http://www.acls.org/programs/publicfellows/.
