而且我相信跟着  Loke 脚踏实地魔鬼般的训练,你们会达到更高的水平  and you are going to learn a whole lot more than I’ll ever know.

He Weifang on Bo Xilai/ Wang Lijun Case

Normally I wouldn’t copy and paste an entire article to my blog, but in this case, I have no other option because the original post was deleted less than a day after it appeared on He Weifang’ blog. It’s a translation of an article published in Japanese on Japan’s Foreign Policy magazine, entitled “The [...]

Interesting experiments on how culture influences visual perception

Professor Jonathan Zittrain posted about his HEAS colleagues‘ study on how culture influences perception, so I took a shot at one of the three experiments.   Try out one or two yourself to see the results. http://www.labinthewild.org/   This is my result of the “Are You More American or More Japanese” test:

Chinese Newspaper Gloating over India’s Massive Blackout

Yesterday I wrote something nice about China’s blackout response, and today I read this article a Chinese newspaper 21 Century Economic Report: India’s Massive Blackout Proves “Indian Model” Overrated (in Chinese). It starts with this: The massive blackout in India in the past three days are the most severe power outrage in human history. It [...]

Blackout Responses Compared: U.S. vs China

People in DC probably still remember the derencho a month ago that left more than 1 million residents without power. Pepco came out with an estimation on June 29th 10:39pm that it would be fixed around July 6th 11pm. Fortunate for most of the residents, the power came back in four or five days. Now [...]
