Sorry my typing and spelling ain’t better. My lack of education is showing but at least I was born with ehtics. In my opinion, rthics cannot be taught only encouraged or discouraged. As Popeye and the Masons say I am what I am. Cya’ll look for me in court. I will be the Hairy guy torturing the Harvard Crowd with ethical dilemmas :)

I seems to me that you are not that old but if I am reading between the lines correctly you may not be in perfect health. If my assumption is correct I wish you well. It appears that you are one lawyer I would stand before a King and defend with my life. I am a simple sincere and serious layman that holds a great contempt of lawyer. Just has Mr. Dershowitz or Dean Kegan or Bob Barr or my wife’s Cousin Charles J. Kickham Jr. To freely compiment a lawyer is truly a heartfelt statement. I laughed when I saw the bit about oxymorons. It was similiar to what I labeled the priest/lawyer Robert T. Kennedy as.

My heart was truly saddened when I read your post since I will miss reading your very prolific and meaningful discussions on ethics. What a void there will be! (How about this? I’m amazed at what you’ve accomplished with this blog, and think you’ve become a conscience for the profession by doing it. As such, your voice will be heard for a long time, both through the archives and in your comments on others’ blogs.

I have a suggestion: just take a bit of a break, as long as you need. One thing that has been clear since the get-go is that not only are you excellent at covering the topics that interest you (see Carolyn), but you sincerely enjoy it. On the other hand, we won’t enjoy seeing you permanently depart one bit. Breaks can be incredibly refreshing, please don’t think you have to stop just ’cause you’ve said it will be so. I for one would love to see you cast ethics to the wind and break this particular promise.
