Nice work! For anyone who wants to learn more about our fear based culture as it relates to kids and sexuality there is an excellent book called "Harmful to Minors" by Judith Levine.

Halloween hysteria has gotten way out of control!
Factually, most sex offenders do NOT re-offend and many are non-violent offenders. Some are teenagers who had consensual sex with other teenagers (www.rickyslife.com).
The news media loves to spread hype around to boost their own ratings at this time of year. But the public should use their noggins before they panic about a sex offender living nearby. Chances are that offender is very low-risk (if any risk at all) and may have his own family to care for.
Like this article says, there is not one case recorded where a former sex offender has attacked a child on Halloween. Even if they wanted to, how can they with all the parents, police, lights, and traffic prevalent on that night? Also, what about dope fiends and drunk drivers? Why isn't the media raising a stir over these people when statistically, your child is more likely to be harmed by this group of people than by sex offenders. Who sounds more scary, someone who urinated in public years ago or someone who is addicted to meth and has a knife collection? Only the first one is listed on a registry.

It is time for people to get real and stop allowing unfounded hysteria to run our lives.

Please sign my petition and help me save my boy who was sixteen and had consensual sex and now listed as a predator due to laws. We must fix this registry for its true purpose and intent, those deemed the most violent and dangerous by a panel of experts. www.rickyslife.com

Thank you
