Low Grades Again for German Education – Even at the Technical University of Munich? – 2
“The OECD report is being made public simultaneously in several national capitals: Berlin, Paris, Washington, and Tokyo, among others.
“According to the Deutsche Presse-Agentur, the new report acknowledges that there has been an improvement in German education this year, as there was a year earlier. This is shown above all by the introduction of the new bachelor and master’s degrees at German universities, which allow students to more quickly acquire degrees that confirm their professional skills. However, because other industrialized nations have on the whole made faster progress in educational reform, Germany has fallen behind again in several areas, when compared with other countries.”

Bildung: Wieder schlechte Noten für Deutschland – auch an der Technischen Universität München? – 2
„Der Bericht wird von der Organisation für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (OECD) gleichzeitig in mehreren Hauptstädten, unter anderem in Berlin, Paris, Washington und Tokio, vorgestellt.
„Laut dpa bescheinigt der neue Bericht Deutschland wie auch im Vorjahr einige Verbesserungen bei der Bildung. Dies gilt vor allem für die Einführung der neuen gestuften Studienabschlüsse Bachelor und Master, mit denen schneller als bisher ein berufsqualifizierender Abschluss an den Hochschulen erworben werden kann. Da aber andere Industrienationen insgesamt ein deutlich höheres Reformtempo bei der Bildung an den Tag legen, fällt Deutschland im internationalem Vergleich in vielen Feldern weiter zurück.”
