The Technical University of Munich* – In Wurzburg, Germany, You Can Just Pay a Professor to Write Your Dissertation – 22

The university has revoked two doctoral degrees as a result of the investigation into Professor Keil’s activities, and those degrees will probably not be the last. Wurzburg University President Alfred Forchel said in an interview, “We are far from seeing the end of this affair.” Around twenty dissertations are again currently being reviewed by outside experts, and Forchel predicts that these experts will continue their work at Wurzburg for at least another year. Seven years after the first investigations, the university is now determined to clear up the matter once and for all.

Die Technische Universität München* – Promotionen: Würzburger Doktorfabrik – 22

Zwei Doktortitel wurden ja bereits entzogen, und dabei wird es wohl nicht bleiben. Im Gespräch mit der ZEIT sagte der Würzburger Universitätspräsident Alfred Forchel: »Wir sind noch längst nicht am Ende angekommen.« Einige der rund 20 Arbeiten werden derzeit erneut von externen Gutachtern geprüft, mindestens ein Jahr werden sie in Würzburg noch mit dem Thema beschäftigt sein, prophezeit Forchel. Sieben Jahre nach den ersten Ermittlungen ist die Universität fest entschlossen, die Doktorfabrik aufzuarbeiten.
