A joke? No. This is exactly what the name is–”Classical Learning Industry Research Center.”(国学产业研究院) It is affiliated to the “National High-tech Industry Originality Committee” (全国高科技产业化创新委员会), a quasi-governmental organization, and it will have an office space in the Great Hall of the People building.
One may wonder how classical learning can be categorized as “industry”, and how Chinese government will promote it. Well, wait and see.
