Censorship by Google blogsearch
Google blogsearch has been helping Chinese government censor internet. I only got to know this when I used Google blogsearch for blog posts on Deng Yujiao case. (About Deng Yujiao case, please see China: Netizens stand with the waitress who killed an official.)
After Chinese government started to filter the internet search results on Deng Yujiao case on baidu search results, I turned to Google blogsearch for the updates of the case. It suprised me when I found Google blogsearch shows no result (I put the Chinese character of Deng Yujiao “邓玉娇” as search term). I was sure there were tons of blog posts every hour–I myself posted 5 in the past 4 hours, and I read more than 10 from various blog sites.
Is Google helping Chinese government?
