Discussion Forum launched
One of the members with an IT background has created a forum for the group’s members. To sign up, please go to: http://www.shamrockbay.com/networkingfor….
Because the group is open only to Harvard affiliates, you do need to sign up with a valid Harvard address. Your “membership” must be approved by a moderator and we might ask why you are interested in the group before we approve.
If you want “privacy” and would prefer to lurk, without posting, you can sign up with a very nondescriptive username and choose the option not to have your e-mail address visible to others. You can also change your address after you sign up to a personal one and have all announcements go to that address (so that your work inbox is not cluttered with messages from the group).
Feel free to tell about the forum to your co-workers who have children with disabilities / specific health care needs, your colleagues who might be interested professionally in the group, your students, classmates, and anyone else who might like to join.

Hi – I’m new at Harvard and would like to join this support group for parents of children with disabilities. I just registered for the forum, but can’t find a way to put my email for notification of future meetings. Please advise.
I’m the parent of a son with Asperger Syndrome, a condition at the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum. I would like to join a local support group to find resources and to share info.
