Is Twitter Down? Maybe Herdict Knows!
This morning, a flood of Herdict reports rushed in, telling us that Twitter was inaccessible in the United States. Of course, Twitter addicts that we are, we already knew, and some of us had already checked the Twitter-specific test site, IsTwitterDown.com, for answers.
Although the site provides a quick answer as to whether or not Twitter is down, did you know that Herdict can do the same thing…and more? Our framework tests the site to discover if it is dead or if there is a temporary network error, which then automatically generates a sentence like the one you see below:
In addition to helping determine if the site is inaccessible in general – or just inaccessible to you – Herdict can tell you where else a site is inaccessible around the world!
Don’t forget – when you make a Herdict report, if you think the site you are reporting is only temporarily inaccessible, please tell us why you think it might be, using the drop down menu:
Incidentally – Twitter is inaccessible due to a Denial of Service attack.
