Here at the HFA we’ve been showing films at our cinematheque Friday through Monday nights since the 1970s. In 2008 we started systematically recording the introductions and discussions that happen in the theater when we have special guests presenting films — which includes filmmakers and artists ranging from James Benning to Paul Schrader to Agnes Varda. This treasure-trove of audio is now available to the public via streaming audio in Harvard’s OASIS catalog and soon on our website. To start, we have a sampling of files from 2008 & 2009, and many more will be added in the future. Stay tuned!
