combatting attacks.

In general:

  • Have a firewall on your own machine up
  • If you’re not using the network, turn it off

For hoyspot security, you can’t go wrong with personalVPN™ by WiTopia, http://www.witopia.net. Encrypts all your traffic on wireless and wired networks and switches out your IP adress, and other Identifiers with an random WiTopia IP.

Get real. That is only 128bit encrypption. HotSpotVPN has 256bit AES encryption!
