A Link From BoingBoing is Worth a Thousand Words

I was so excited Friday when BoingBoing gave a great write-up and link to the new Digital Learning white paper. Obviously, if you are trying to make your work visible to the technie world, that’s one of the best places to be. It was also a vivid personal demonstration of the well-known reach of that site, because I got e-mail from random friends sending virtual back-slaps over the mention.

BoingBoing had learned of the paper from Berkman alum and EFF activist Derek Slater, who had graciously noted the paper on his blog. As a result, BoingBoing mistakenly thought Derek was involved in the project. I wish I could have had Derek working on it too! As it was, though, we benefited from a great team of Harvard Law students working through the Berkman Center, some fellows at the Research Center for Information Law at the University of St. Gallen, and a large and distinguished group who participated in our workshops, reviewed drafts, and allowed us to pepper them with foolish questions. So the credits at the end of the paper go on for several pages!
