The Central Bureau of Investigation has charged 20 people in the gang rape and murder of the family members of Bilkis Bano, stemming from the massacre of Muslims in Gujarat during 2002:

Fourteen Muslims were alleged to have been killed and three women raped.

Those charged include six policemen and two doctors accused of conspiracy and destroying evidence.

The Central Bureau of Investigation had taken over the Bilkis Bano case, after the Supreme Court requested it to intervene, in light of the destruction of evidence by Gujarat police and their role in the carnage.  The Gujarat section of the blog gives details on developments in this case.
