where is the outrage?
Has anyone talked about this? It is clearly NOT coincidental, and I am amazed (ok not really) at the amount of coverage, or should I say lack or coverage this is getting. Could you imagine if Obama’s American hating church had been set afire to by an arsonist? We would have:
1. Million Man March on Washington calling for a Constitutional Amendment making burning a church a hate crime…oh wait, think the culprits of this action would be charged as such? HA!
2. Candle light vigils across the WORLD..World leaders calling in the condolences and sending in donations-we’d probably see more International out pour than we did in 9/11.
3. Accusations that it was done by the CIA, FBI, A Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, or George Bush-personally.
4. Calls for the FEMA head to step down, along with every Secretary of any Homeland agency.
But alas… we have little coverage, hardly any commentary, and nobody calling for ANYTHING.
Figures.
As Bloomberg reports here, President Bush was not invited to the summit tomorrow in Brazil. This is extremely significant due to the close geographic proximity of Latin America to the United States but it does not end there. What is more significant is the reality that more and more Hispanics are coming to the USA, voting, running for office and becoming successful. This is not problematic because they are Hispanics, but because the political climate in Latin America, from which they came is overtly Anti-American. What party are these immigrants registering with? The Democratic party. Within their communities are they successful in electing their like minded liberal leaders? Yes. What is occurring is an invasion plain and simple. Disregard thier language, their skin color-these are of no importance, what is, is their politics. For all intensive purposes these “new-Americans” should be registering with the Republican party, but they are not. Their value systems, religion, fiscal responsibility are all things which are best suited, best realized with governance by Republicans. The solution is not-as some would suggest, to pander to them, but to educate them in what Conservatism is all about, our agenda, platform and vision. There is no rationale for our new citizens to be voting Democrat, none whatsoever. The majority of these immigrants are here to work, not to rape our entitlement systems such as welfare and emergency healthcare. Sure, some of them do rape it indeed, but they are certainly not the majority.
The a priori culprit here is not the Democratic party, but the media. What these people hear and see when they arrive and live in their new homes, is mostly a product of the- incapable of being objective- media. The objective of the mainstream media in my generation has not been to inform, or report, but rather to influence, and push along the progressive agenda. Just turn on MSNBC, pick up the New York Times, watch your hometown evening news, it is all filled with overt and covert liberal / progressive characteristics, this is undeniable.
There is not much use in pointing out what is broken these days, without at the very least, attempting to provide some sort of solution, or advice. Blogs. Blogs are the answer. Why are they the answer? Because of thir sheer numbers. Blogging, as I am doing at this moment, is accesible to anyone-for the most part. Mine is-to be sure- a Conservative one. There are certainly liberal ones, even socialist ones. That is the beauty of this medium is that the barriers to entry are so low. What is even more impressive is that their very existeince (should) neccesitate independent research on whatever topic one is writing about, this leads to a more informed citizenry. The headlines are ours, the content our product, and the editorials-open to all (assuming one is supportive of discourse and allows commenting).
