On becoming a regular guy again

Subject: Hi Joe  :)

Joe,

So here is a commentary on myself this morning.  I get up, go
upstairs to my computer, check my email and find a nice thank you note
from Howard.  I read it, and I actually like it. I wonder if
Howard wrote it.  I sort of think he might have, because it’s not
very literate.  :) Then I think, “I wonder what is on the
site?”  I click through the link at the bottom of Howard’s
email–nothing new on the home page.  But then I figure, “let’s check out the
blog
.”  Lo and behold, someone is there!  I read the Times
letters
.  Then I start to think about Joe Rospars up in
Burlington–how much I like the guy–so I decide to make a
comment.  Comments needs a password, which I don’t seem to
have.  Oh yea, I need to register.  I click through to
Commons.  At this point I realize I can just write to Joe–so I do.

But in a few minutes I’m going to register in Commons so I can comment
on the blog….And of course I hope that the Candle database realizes
that I am already in the campaign even if not in Commons–and of course
Candle will–because of Ken’s great design.

And I realize that I love you guys–and that I’ve become just another
of the thousands of raving fans out there, depending on you for morning
coffee and companionship, and perspective on the world, and hope.
God bless you all up there in Burlington.

As we used to say in the 60s, “keep on truckin’.”

Warm best creative wishes, Jim
