Senator John Kerry clear and smart and caring in the debate

October 1st, 2004 · No Comments

John Kerry did a really nice job last night.  Clear, smart, and caring.  George W. really seemed lost at times.

Two things I liked about George W.  Frst, he really seemed to know
and care about the genocide in Sudan, and he stayed on topic in his
answer to the questin about Sudan, unlike John Kerry who turned the
question back to Iraq.

Second, I liked George W.’s comment at the end that we will have an
“all volunteer military” if he is elected.  An all volunteer
military is definitely the way to go–particularly if you move to a
military that does sophisticated nation building, a la The Pentagon’s
New Map.

Of course, you have to support such a military and protect it and only
use it when necessary. These are Kerry’s important messages.
