Thanks for putting in the link to the Siegel report... I have some friends at  &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.aejmc.net/newspaper/&quot;&gt;a conference in Kansas City&lt;/a&gt; who may not have seen it yet.  &lt;p&gt;Incidentally, congratuations to Harvard on having an alum named managing editor of The New York Times. And if the news bureau doesn&#039;t know about it before you get this note from me, you owe me a mango lassi.
&lt;p&gt; (I wonder how many Harvard grads have been in that job?) I&#039;m no Times historian, but why do I feel it&#039;s not sexist to assume she&#039;s also the first woman to hold that job?
