Open-source Software Articles & Colloquy in the Chronicle of Higher Education

This week’s issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education has quite a few articles about open-source software, ranging from how open-source software allows academics to better tailor the software to the higher education environment to what happens when popular software, like PeopleSoft, is acquired by another company. There’s a colloquy at 2 pm today about these issues. Though most of The Chronicle’s articles are restricted to subscribers only, I think the colloquies might be open to the public. The Chronicle does archive past colloquies, so a transcript may be available after the online discussion.
