Negative Editorial about Librarians
This commentary griping about librarians agitates me so much, I’m not even sure why I’m including it on my blog other than that I’m a librarian who believes in free access to information and including a variety of viewpoints in my collection. The author rants about a variety of things about librarians and libraries, from our opposition to the USA PATRIOT Act (I think he totally misses the point of our opposition) to the access many libraries give to homeless people to the stance many have taken against Internet filtering. I can’t help but wonder when the last time he visited a library was and if he knows any librarians.
