Father and Sons Visit Every Chicago Public Library

An attorney decided a few years ago that a way to broaden his sons’ horizons would be to visit every public library in Chicago. The family finished their travels a little while ago and shared their photo album and experiences with a Chicago Tribune columnist.

“”We found that you’re always welcome at any library,’ said [the mother], who went along on roughly half the trips. ‘Even if they can tell you’re a stranger to the neighborhood, there’s a no-questions-asked feeling. Everybody automatically belongs.’”
