Another Holiday to Celebrate: John Lenger Day
Imagine: a mayor recognizing a journalist!
October 17th is John Lenger Day, according to Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. John is one of the assistant directors of this office, one of my editors, and someone I regularly work with on projects. He also really appreciates libraries and librarians and has had me talk to his journalism classes in the past about doing research. He claims he didn’t tell us about the day because he didn’t know until after it had passed.
