Explaining RSS Feeds
If you know of a Web resource that does a really good job of explaining what an RSS feed is and/or how it can be used or if you know of any great tools for reading/aggregating/creating/whatever RSS feeds, please let me know. I’ve been asked about RSS feeds by many of my colleagues lately and would like to put something together for them that explains what they are, why they may want to use them, and what kinds of tools related to RSS feeds there are. Bonus points if you know of or are a news librarian who uses RSS feeds in the context of a job. Comment below or contact me. Grazia.
Someone just faxed me a copy of The Information Advisor’s “Leading Business-Focused News Alert Services” article from the November 2003 issue, which covers RSS feeds. What I’ve read of it so far is good.
