Contest to Rename RSS
Someone is sponsoring a contest to get a better name for RSS. Wasn’t it Scott Rosenberg (and I’m sure many others) who recently lamented that RSS wasn’t a name that would catch on?
I couldn’t help thinking about other abbreviations that shouldn’t have necessarily caught on, too, like maybe WWW, HTML, or even XML.
