Librarians Pose for Charity Calendar
“The myth of the prim and proper librarian has been shattered in the latest example of ordinary women baring all for a charity calendar.”
A senior librarian says, “Some people think it is a little demeaning to the profession but we think it is tasteful. It shows that librarians have a life outside and that we are not boring people.”
“Some staff were shy and said ‘no way’ when they were asked, which is fine. But I found the traditional librarian stereotype offensive. This shows all sorts of people work in libraries,” Miss June explains why she participated.
